more info:
Glasgow-born singer-songwriter Lucinda Sieger's ( that's me) first guitar was a self-made cereal Weetabix box ( that's true, not that we were poor, just that I was very creative), a hole strategically cut out with rubber bands across it for the strings! Thus this inspired Lucinda to write her first songs at an early age. After graduating from art college in London, Lucinda’s career in furniture design was soon eclipsed by her involvement with the music world!
Lucinda's crystalline voice has spawned musical liaisons with many successful artists including members of Leftfield and Bronski Beat. A cult figure in Japan as a result of her single "Sunset Red", she has also made a recent appearance on a Swedish TV chat show with co-guest Ardal O'Hanlon (Father Ted) and Harry Shearer (The Simpsons).
Achieving commercial success with UK number one dance track "40 Miles" with ‘Congress‘, on which she supplied the alluring vocals, she also achieved an appearance on the very first live Top of the Pops as the single reached No. 23 in the UK Top 40 Chart.
"Silver Life" hits the stores on June 12th with it’s summer breeze and luscious vocals. Including acoustic tracks, "Now Here We Are" a warm song about friendship and the stories that get passed around the table of life and "Silver Life" the title track, co-written with gifted guitarist Reid Savage (Way of the West). In "Bread" Lucinda combines her writing and performing talents with those of Winston Blissett who records and tours with heavyweight musicians like Robbie Williams and Massive Attack.
Featuring remixes by world music maestros, Temple of Sound and experimental lounge experts, Slipper (Loop Guru), Lucinda's compositions successfully fuse ambient folk, jazz and lounge. ‘Silver Life’ focuses on creative remixes of tracks from her previous CD "Heart in the Sky" which she co-produced with Temple of Sound. Also, included on ’Silver Life’ is an mpeg movie for the forthcoming single download remix of "Hollywood".
