Check out all the indiestore artists that are playing Glastonbury this year. Listen and Download!

Glastonbury is upon us and most festival goers are looking towards the horizon and hoping for some fairness. Fairness in getting good weather after the mud bath of last year; fairness in seeing some amazing music after the negative response from the lineup announcement; and fairness in the Glastonbury experience!

Well for indiestore, the view of seeing our artists represented on various stages at the festival this year seems very fair. It would be safe to say that unsigned and independent music will be alive and well along side Jay-Z and The Verve at Glastonbury. The most attractive stage encompassing indiestore artists is the BBC Introducing stage where 5 indiestore artists will be playing to a sunny audience (we hope).

The Locarnos

Sticks And Stones

I guess the best way of describing The Locarnos would just be as an even younger Cajun Dance Party (so like 14 and 15 instead of 16 and 17), and while they definitely show their age a bit more than CDP, they also show a lot of promise.

Magic Arm

Outdoor Games

Here we have a British band that sparkle with the subtleties of sound and glimpses of brand new sonic dimensions you knew existed but never looked for; repeated mantras become forgotten questions, as this occurs familiar but quieter sounds ascend and become just as grand as the first time someone asked you ‘what are you going to do about it’.

The Chapman Family

The Kids Are Not Alright

Formed as an antithesis to the barrage of post Libertines paint-by-number indie bands with mockney accents and trilbies, the fantastic Chapman Family proudly and confidently make dark post-punk, rich in sharp guitars, drum machine beats and dry, angry lyrics. It may not be as radio-friendly but it’s so much more exciting.
